Trick R’ Treat (Halloween Dinner and a Movie)

This is the last installment of “Halloween Dinner and a Movie” and it’s certainly not the least. An anthology horror movie that brings you on a journey through interconnecting stories of pumpkin heads, vampires, and cannibals. If you need to get into the Halloween mood today, this is the movie to do it.

Slow Cooker Chili

Since you will be Trick or Treating tonight, let’s warm you up with some chili. The perfect accompaniment to your bag of treats.

Chris’s Slow Cooker Chili

Ingredients:

1 pound of pork cut into cubes
1 pound of sausage cut up
1 cup chopped onion
1 green pepper, chopped
1 large (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
1 can (5 oz) tomato paste
1 can kidney beans drained
1 can of black beans drained
1 can of pinto beans drained
1 tsp pepper
3 tsp chili powder
1 tsp cumin
hot pepper, to taste, cayenne
1 tsp garlic salt
1 chipotle pepper cut up
1 bottle of lager beer

Directions

All ingredients except for beer in Slow cooker, on low for 8 hours
Put in beer 1 hour before it’s time to eat
